Descendants of Philip Cyrus Dorey

This tree shows a branch of the Dorey family in Canada, descendants of Philip Cyrus Dorey. We have had strong reservations since 2014, when this tree was first posted to the site, that Philip Cyrus Dorey was born in Jersey. There is no record of any baptism with these names, and Cyrus is not a name which appears elsewhere in Jersey records.

There were two Philippe Doreys born in Jersey at this time, one baptised in 1798 and the other in 1799, but neither is believed to have emigrated to Canada.
