Descendants of Philippe Amy
|
This tree for a little researched St John branch of the Amy family was added in 2022 by Mike Bisson. He believes that Philippe and Anne must have settled in St John because there are no baptism records for Amys in the parish before their first daughter, Maria, was baptised in 1762. Despite the fact that Philippe is shown as 'of St John' in his 1861 marriage record, it is more likely that he was born in another parish. It is possible that he was the son of Thomas Amy, of St Ouen, who married Sara Esnouf, of St John, in the parish in 1837. The couple settled in St Ouen and had four children, including a Philippe born in 1741 Amy family page and links to other trees
Record Search
You can also select marriages or burials. Select the name you want and when the list of records is displayed you can easily refine the search, choosing a single parish, given name(s) and/or start and end dates. The records are displayed 30 to a page, but by selecting the yellow Wiki Table option at the top left of the page you can open a full, scrollable list. This list will either be displayed in a new tab or a pop-up window. You may have to edit the settings of your browser to allow pop-up windows for www.jerripediabmd.net. For the small number of family names for which a search generates more than 1,500 records you will have to refine your search (perhaps using start or end dates) to reduce the number of records found.
