Record Search

If you want to search for records for any name in this family tree, or for any other family name, just click below on the first letter of the family name you are interested in. This will open a new tab in your browser giving you a list of family names beginning with that letter, for which there are baptism records in our database of half a million church and public registry records.

You can also select marriages or burials. Select the name you want and when the list of records is displayed you can easily refine the search, choosing a single parish, given name(s) and/or start and end dates.

The records are displayed 30 to a page, but by selecting the yellow Wiki Table option at the top left of the page you can open a full, scrollable list. This list will either be displayed in a new tab or a pop-up window. You may have to edit the settings of your browser to allow pop-up windows for For the small number of family names for which a search generates more than 1,500 records you will have to refine your search (perhaps using start or end dates) to reduce the number of records found.

Notes and references

  1. These are the dates given in some online trees for Thomas, giving his birth parish as St John, and his parents as Noe and Rauline. However, there is no corresponding baptism record, as the earliest surviving register for St John begins in 1594. Any record of his parents would therefore need to have been extracted from Jersey`s court rolls, which may well, with this family, have been the case. There was a Thomas born in St Saviour in 1574. However, St John records show the marriage of Thomas and Marie, and the baptism record for Noe (generation 2) shows that he was the son of Thomas and Marie Blampied, and the grandson of Noe Blampied, and it is on those records that the top of online trees, and this tree, are based
  2. Christened as "Marie Lempriere daughter of Noe, son of Thomas, and of Catherine, his wife. Her godparents were Thomas Lempriere, brother of the said Noe and Marie, his sister, who now feature above. Marie was described, on marriage in 1656, as "Marie Lempriere fille Noe" of St John
