This tree overlaps Descendants of Thomas Rive - 2 and Descendants of Thomas Rive (1690- ) and Elizabeth Pallot , and all three contained different lines of descent, and varied in the amount of detail shown in some branches until a thorough review of this tree in 2019. Each is from a different source

Because this tree goes back two generation furthers, we have decided to bring all available information into the tree, and it is the only one which will continue to be updated as more information becomes available. It is now a very long tree, but can be seen to be the definitive tree for the Rive family in Jersey, and their descendants elsewhere in the world
