Notes and references
- ↑ We have not found an explanation for the datestone predating the couple's marriage. The Datestone Register lists this stone as 1821, which is a much longer gap before the marriage. However, the register shows the marriage as having taken place in Trinity in 1819, citing information from Pam Hislop. There was no Amy-Blampied marriage in Trinity in that year (nor any other year) and Pam did not supply that information. We firmly believe that the marriage was in St Helier in 1828. The stone may have been commissioned in anticipation of an earlier wedding, or it may simply be an example of a datestone not matching a wedding year but relating to construction work on the house. This may well have been started well before the planned wedding
- ↑ Married as Bettey
- ↑ We have not been able to fit the couple in any of our existing Amy family trees. Elie was the son of Helier and Marie, nee Romeril; grandson of Jean Amy and Elizabeth Neel
