Listed building

This early 19th century building is of historical significance as a former village blacksmiths forge. It retains its proportions and character on the roadside elevation and contributes to the village setting, especially with its location near the church.

Of particular social history value are the numerous sets of clients initials branded into the front door. Single-storey, five-bay building with 20th century wing to west. To north is 20th century extension and link building.

The former working yard to the rear retains a natural water supply.

Old Jersey Houses

Probably because they had not been converted to residential use at the time the books were written, none of the old forges, with the exception of that in Trinity, feature in either volume
