Listed building
A good example of an early-mid 18th century rural house, probably with earlier origins, which has some later alterations but retains many original internal and external features, including particularly fine fireplaces.
J McCormack's, Channel Island Houses identifies an earlier 17th century build phase - the house re-fronted circa 1732. Shown on the Richmond Map of 1795.
Set back, five-bay, two-storey plus attic. Front elevation: pitched roof has two dressed granite end chimneystacks with thatch dripstones, and raised gable verges with moulded kneelers. Later pantiles with dormers.
Central doorway, wide planked timber door with metal hinges. Regency style overlight with six panes. Well in front garden, shared with neighbouring property.
