Thomas John Blondel Falla
Born 1804 Vale son of Thomas Falla and Marie Blondel. Educated in Caen, as from an early age he intended to enter the legal profession. Called to the Bar in 1824 and practised as an advocate until a few months before his death. Served for 40 years in the North regiment of the Royal Guernsey Militia, 28 years as Lieut-Colonel relinquishing his command in 1874. A vice president of the Royal Guernsey Agricultural Society. Lived all his life at Les Roques Barrées, Vale, which he inherited from his father in 1852. Died at home aged 75 years 8 months on 5 October 1879.
