Late 19th century properties retaining original exterior Victorian features and proportions, contributing to streetscape character. Three-bay, two-storey house (Transvaal) with attached two-bay, two-storey cottage (Transvaal Villa), in prominent corner location, both with rendered dwarf wall with pyramid-cap gate piers and swan-neck iron railings in front gardens.
Pitched slate roofs with crested ridge tiles on both properties, and rendered chimneystacks with matching moulded cornice bands and square pots.
Transvaal has three ornate pitched roof dormers at the front. Transvaal Villa has a single ornate pitched roof dormer at the rear.
