6. ↑ Edouard or a brother of his probably married Priscille Le Marinel of St John. She was godmother of Marie Bisson, daughter of Aaron and Marie Benest, his wife, and was described as the infant`s aunt. This relationship was not paternal
7. ↑ Jean Coutanche and Elizabeth Benest, his wife, (see note above), were godparents in 1704 to Elizabeth`s nephew, Philippe Benest.
