Descendants of Peter Ricard

This tree, and the similar but longer Descendants of Pierre Ricard, which have been in Jerripedia since 2013 and 2010 respectively, have now been superseded by Descendants of Simeon Ricard, which takes the lineage back two generations and contains much more detail, incorporating virtually all the Ricards baptised in St Ouen. In this tree, which is no longer being updated, and will probably be deleted in due course, Peter Ricard is wrongly shown at generation 1 as father of Jean.

The baptism register shows clearly that Jean was the son of another Jean and Rachel du Heaume. Pierre Ricard and Elizabeth Botterel were godparents of Francis Ricard (1678-1729) but not his grandparents. Elizabeth was not married to Pierre but was the wife of Jean d'Auvergne. We have been unable to discover whether Pierre/Peter Ricard was married to Rachel du Lang (a name we have not otherwise encountered in Jersey), as shown at the bottom of the tree, but the Jean Ricard who appears in the baptism register in 1656 was another son of Jean and Rachel du Heaume.
