Descendants of Pierre Desmares

Several online trees, clearly copied from each other, show the wife of Pierre Francois (gen 5) the founder of the Jersey family, as Marie Anne or Esther Mary Amy. They also give her death date as 1842, at the age of 17, 11 years before the first of her children was supposedly born. St Saviour records clearly show Pierre Francois' wife as Esther Mourant

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. It is not always possible to carry out such checks on sections of trees with United Kingdom and/or colonial content
