Historic Environment Record entry

Listed building

The south face of this 17th century house shows its development from a single storey dwelling, refronted in the 18th century and raised in the 19th century to two storeys. This has given it its unique character which is still retained. It contributes to the rural setting.

A house is shown on this site on the Richmond Map of 1795. Detached two-storey, five-bay house with brick chimneys on each gable. Three rooflights. 1980s two-storey gabled extension at centre.

The only interior historic feature of significance in evidence is a six-panel door and reed moulded architrave in the ground floor east room.
