Talk:Descendants of Charles de Faye
I am pleased to see a new tree for the descendants of Louis De Faye and concur with it's suggestions. I note however, that there is no reference to my great grandfather William Samuel Butlin and his marriage to Elizabeth Susan De Faye (1852-1928). The marriage of Williams's sister Mary Butlin to Elizabeth's brother Frances Edward De Faye (1848-1927 is listed. Below is a summary of some of the information I hold.
My 2nd great grandfather, Joseph Butlin (born 1796 Welton, Northamptonshire) married, in 1826 St Heiler, Anne Mauger (born St Laurence 1806 - daughter of Philippe Mauger & Susanne Elisabeth Luce.) They had 7 children - 4 boys & 3 girls. On the 1841 & 1851 census the family are living at Millias House, Le route de Mont, St Ouen. Joseph died in 1852 and is buried in St Ouen Churchyard. Anne died in 1871. Their 6th child,4th son - William Samuel Butlin born 1840(baptised St Ouen), married Elizabeth Susan De Faye (Born 1852), in St Brelade, 1872. Elizabeth was the daughter of Francois De Faye (1818-1872) & Elizabeth Coutanche (1822-1892 - daughter of Edouard Coutanche & Elizabeth Picot). Joseph & Anne's last child, Mary (1846-1923) married Francis Edward De Faye (1848-1927) - brother to Elizabeth Susan De Faye. William Samuel Butlin was a Master Mariner. By the time William Samuel & Elizabeth's eldest son, William Harry De Faye Butlin (my grandfather) was born in 1875, the family, with Mary & Edward De Faye, where living in London. However, by 1891 the family where living in Hull. I have data for all of the other Butlin children.

I have a copy of a 1928 de Faye family tree in French. It does show the marriage of Elizabeth Sussane, born 1851, to "Captain Butlin.
I also have a copy of a 1987 Society Jersey family tree in English.
How is it best that I upload this information?
