No 11 is on the left of this picture, taken when it housed a branch of National Provincial Bank and offices of various states departments


This is the first property on the north side of the Royal Square, opposite No 10 where the pedestrianised street leads through from Library Place. One of its most important roles in the history of the island was as the headquarters of the Nouvelle Chronique newspaper in the 19th century. In the 1870s, among the tenants of office accommodation, was HM Attorney-General

A relatively restrained 19th century frontage which retains some original external features, and contributes to the character of Royal Square.

Three-storey with attic, five-bay, single bay wing to west. Slated mansard roof, rendered corniced chimneys, rendered parapet.
